so i decided to turn up my ipod touch os a notch by simple clicking the prompt box that appeared when i attached my ipod to my laptop. gadget updated then this error message showed up ““iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod “anne’s iPod”. Go to the Summary tab in iPod preferences and click Restore to restore this iPod to factory settings.” 

as i always do, i went to google and copy pasted this errror message. tried alot of fixes from different sites but nothing happened. turns out i was missing something.. here’s ultimate solution to my problem:

after following the instructions, itunes recognized my ipod again  but another problem arised. all the songs in my ipod are gone. tried syncing the songs from itunes to ipod and another error message showed up “itunes could not copy file could not be found”.. doing the copy-paste-google combo.. i found this:

“This happens time to time with me for some reason. So frustrating there inst a better way that iTunes response to it. Once the failure to copy and the other errors come up, you have to unhook the iDevice and close and reopen iTunes. Sometimes you have to kill the application if it is hung.

Then, go into the sync settings and UNCHECK all media. Sync. Then go to the summary page and check “only sync checked songs and videos” and go to MUSIC and check ONE album. Sync. Repeat this one by one until you get the error. then uncheck the album that caused the error and repeat. Very very annoying but the only way i have gotten this to solve.”

problem solved. my ipod is back to normal. lesson learned: never update your gadgets unless u want some complications. it took a quarter of my day off. it sucks but thank God my ipod is up and running again. 

at the end of the day, you both realize that what youre doing is stupid then end it like nothing happened.
